Color Theory and Personal Meaning

Play with color theory in this dynamic, experimental class. During this 6 week series, you will study what color means to you, work with color symbolism, create reference tools for color, and create a system for making art that reflects your inner world. Classes are divided into three sections, which are 1) guided painting lesson to build theory skills 2) drawing/writing activity that focuses on developing personal meaning in your art 3) creating art with paint and painted paper collage that contains personal meaning. Projects include a color wheel, value scale, limited palettes, and a 16" x 20" canvas. Tuition incudes all material needed to complete all projects. 

This class takes place over 8 hours, which is broken up into 2 hour sessions. Schedules are custom, and can take place during the day or in the evenings. Sessions are available for one person or a group of up to 4 people. Ticket is one per person.
